Photo shoot with my best friend.

So, I'm VERY excited to have gotten our family pictures done and I really like the way they turned out! I wanted them to portray a slight romantic and old timely look about them and I was not disappointed. Its been since our engagement pictures that we have taken time to get our pictures done so I'm just a little (overly) excited about them.

Our good friend Mary took them and we had tons of fun together but we always do so thats nothing new. We went up in the beautiful Ozarks to the vineyards and along a pretty country looking road that gave us a great setting. Here are some of my favorites!

These pictures are special to me because I'm with the most amazing person in the world. Andrew is the greatest man I've ever known. He's manly but so gentle at the same time. He lightens up my days with his positive out look and personality. He's extremely loyal to the people he loves. He never talks bad about anyone and gives everyone the benefit of doubt. He takes care of me in every way and I seriously never dreamed I would have someone love me like he does and I'm convinced there is nothing he wouldn't do for me.. that's how deep his love goes. 😍  I have so much respect for him and his values. I couldn't imagine a life without him. I couldn't imagine not having him to welcome home and in return get the best bear hugs that aIways knock the breath out if me. And I couldn't imagine not having him to bore with all my crazy (and long) conversations about life. Nor could I imagine not having a best friend to laugh and be stupid with every evening. I have no fear of someday raising our children with him. He is a great leader in our home. He's the perfect gentleman. I happen to think his manly yet gentle southern country ways are the cutest thing in the world. He makes our life a beautiful one and I'm looking forward to the days ahead of us. I hope I can be as good of a wife to him as he is a husband to me. I adore him so he makes my efforts easy. 😊
To know him is to love him.

"Oh Darlin'! Don't you know I don't have time for photo shoots...It's hunting season." 😜 We got more pictures where we look like crazy people then we did serious ones thanks to this handsome guy that was having just a little too much fun. 😉

We had FUN!!! 😊😉

Thanks for looking!

WHAT'S YOUR PERSPECTIVE?

No matter what you're facing in life, having the right perspective does make a difference. How we perceive things can be extremely powerful.

Perspective:
A particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view.

Simply put, perspective is a way of thinking. The way you think or feel about something, a particular situation or even the way you perceive somebody is not always true. Have you ever been frustrated because you know someone may think a certain way towards you, a situation or maybe even about your family, beliefs or church?  But you know for a fact that what they're perceiving is not true? Everybody has an opinion and perspective on just about everything and a lot of times we let our perspective on things come from other people, our thoughts and you guessed it -our feelings. Our feelings, although they are real, can be misleading and inaccurate to what is really true. (I once heard a message about that and it changed my life.) Sometimes we can't help the way we feel but we can ask God to change the way we look at things if it is not a true way or good way of looking at it.

I know a saying and I'm sure you have heard it also and it goes something like this:

"I felt sorry for a man I met that had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet."

I wonder what that man without any shoes was thinking? Was he feeling sorry for himself  because he had no shoes? Or was he just happy to have feet, even if they didn't have shoes on them? Perspective. The things and situations of life that we go through sure don't look as bad to us when we have the right perspective and the right way of looking at it.

I once met a girl that I automatically assumed the worst about because of what I had heard from another source. I didn't even want to be around this person because of all the horrible things I had heard! I ended up getting to know her and realised everything I had heard from that source was inaccurate. She was a great girl and turned out to be a good friend! If I had listened to what I had heard, an opinion, I would have missed out on a great friendship. That source had the wrong perspective of what this girl was all about and it was completely untrue. Lesson learned: other peoples perspectives can lead you to believe something that is not true and can be harmful when it is untrue. Who are you getting your opinions from? Don't let your own wrong perspective keep you from missing out on great things in life!

I wanted to share my thoughts about this because it has helped me so much and I have learned that how I look at things and having the right perspective can make a huge difference in every area of my live, including my personal happiness. Don't let negative thoughts become a way of life! Ask God to change your thoughts and way of thinking to how He thinks and feels. And when He does it will change your life so much for the better!

Your thoughts are powerful.
Your perspective is powerful.
